Part of A Japanese Themester, funded by the Toshiba International Foundation This is the story of one family’s experience in an incarceration camp for Americans of Japanese ancestry. Lourdes Nichols tells her personal story of her family’s harrowing journey from immigration and life in Chicago to incarceration at Manzanar and final release, in addition to the legacy passed on.
